To your teachers, to your boss, to your friends, your parents. Kindly narrate the incident and please tell how you expressed your gratitude. I went to my school teacher's house. He is retired, was not keeping well and not well off in the life. Myself and my friend together got him examined in the hospital, purchased the medicines, arranged for food for one week till he recouperated and found him a part time teaching job, so that he can stand on his own. This is not a big way to express gratitude, but I could do this much.

I always used to see a blind boy trying to cross the road. Several days I was passing through and I gave him a helping hand. Later on he said he wants his passport to be made and he needed help in filling the form. I filled the form and took him to passport office and to my surprise many people helped him in different ways and he was interviewed by the passport officer and he got his passport in less than 3 days. The point I am telling is, lot of people has compassion and love towards others and they do help. My work was only to take him to office but others took care of the blind boy and I was about to express my gratitude to all of them. The boy also expressed his gratitude to me by brining some flowers.

I am sure it ment a lot to him we as people think that things arnt that big when we help others but to them it could mean their life or it could mean a lot to them. Even a simple thank you can make a diffrence to one person. I tend to write a letter or buy them something that has great meaning to us and they know it has a special meaning. I think anyone person you know you have a bond with rather it be good or bad we do make a diffrence with everything we do.

It is very true. What you said, I fully endorse your view. I was brought up in a village, where we had a farm and a business. Whenever help is required, hundreds of them come home to help. It is not because they want in return anything, it is just an expression of gratitude, because my dad used to help them in times of need. I get a feeling I will never be able to see such things in modern days, because we hardly go out of the way to help anyone, even if we can.

yes sadly now a days people are selfish and dont think of others they are to buisy to even thank someone for their help. I was raised to help others i know if i ever wanted help i would want someone to come even if it is just helping someone pick up their papers it still can help a person in their lifes. by the way i love your discussions they are meaningful unlike some others i have seen here on mylot. they make you think about our values and what is more important.
