Many ads claims that when you take L-carnitine who gets thinner. I don't know if it is true because I haven't tried it for myself. I want to lose weight in the natural way.

I am glad you asked this as it caused me to research it. Here is the answer from wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnitine "Although L-carnitine has been marketed as a weight-loss supplement, there is no scientific evidence to date to show that it improves weight loss. A recent study of moderately overweight women found that L-carnitine did not significantly alter body weight, body fat, or lean body mass. Based on the results of this one small study, claims that L-carnitine helps reduce weight are not supported at this time." [13] Regular supplements of L-carnitine, however, contribute to energy metabolism and improved neurotransmitter function in the brain in elderly.[14

many studies have been done to determine the effectiviness of L-Carnitine for fat burning, evidence, more so than not, has suggested that when used correctly, along with balance diet (adequate protein, essential fatty acids, and fiber), it works, L-Carnitine however, is not the silver bullet, it just another piece of the fat burning puzzle..

I don't know if this carnitine or substance is available in herbs. I talked to an online friend before and she told me that some traditional herbs enable women to get slimmer bodies. I was curious as to whether it is really effective since she happened to mention it. Perhaps there is the underlying truth to all these. But I still think that metabolism is the main culprit for those fats burning fast or not. The only tip I know that I could provide for you is to drink lots of green tea. It is good for your health and helps for slimness as well.

L-carnitine is one of a few substances that exist in our body in the manufacture of ATP molecules, which explain why you have the energy. It is not that it burns the fat, but an essential ingredient in helping our body generating energy hence giving us more energy to stay active n work out.

L-Carnitine DOES help you burn fat. What the commercial products DON'T tell you is that you already have enough of that from your daily meals and you don't need more because you'd only pee your excess L-Carnitine (like how you pee excess Vitamin C). You're actually getting FATTER with these L-Carnitine stuff if you're drinking them instead of water since water is the best for detoxification and has ZERO calories whereas L-Carnitine-packed drinks vary from 150-350 calories per bottle. Thanks for the response on my discussion!
