Should we buy toys for the children whenever they ask?

Buying toys for the children whenever they ask has become a big challenge for the parents. Some children cry to get their choice of toys bought. The challenge is faced by the parents especially when they go out for shopping. Parents have at times no choice but to buy whatever the child asks when he or she cries squatting on the ground or on the road!

This is a problem that I rarely have to deal with. I am a single mother of three girls and it has been taught to them since they were very young that they just don't get everything that they want. It is rare that they get new toys with the exception of birthdays or Christmas. They are very aware that when we walk into a store we are there for the things on the list and thats what we are leaving with. As long as a parent stands their ground there should be few problems. I don't agree that "parents have no choice at times." You simply pick the child up and take them to the car. If you give in once, you will give in again and a child is able to understand this at a very young age. It simply creates a very bad and ugly cycle.

nope toys should be earnt, I am a single dad of 3, and my little ones gets new toys every week with his pocket money, or if he wants more expensive ones then he has to wait till he has enough. Tho if hes been really good I might treat them once in a while. But I never give in to him crying if he does he doesnt get anything.
