asks you for help with his/her homework? I know I do, lol. It has been sooooo long since I have been in school and basically, I am just uable to help with certain things. Now it's funny how he doesn't ask me about English but he would ask me about Math... a subject at one time I used to love but with all the changes in Math these days......... I know I can't be by myself here. Please share! Take care and God Bless!

I totally understand how you feel. The way things are being taught is completely different from the way that I learned years ago. A few things that might help, read your childs book with them and learn together, or invest in a GED prep book to relearn skills on your own time, or when all else fails, there are sites on the internet that always seem to be able to answer my childrens problems.

I think this is the best answer so far, learning it with your child shows him/her you are never too old to learn and are willing to do the work too. Working with them to find the right answers is a great way to spend that quality time people seem to over look in the everyday world with our kids. Good luck and happy learning.

Hi Linda! The same is with me. When it is English my son would run to me but on mathematics he knows his father is a great Pythagoras or someone like that and would not come to me and opts for his mom. I really feel insufficient at that moment but now it is too late to learn them.

So far I've been ok but my oldest is only in third grade. I know there will be times once the kids get older when this will happen.
