Why you like harry potter

I watched three parts of famous movie harry potter, because one of my friend highly recommend me to watch this excellent movie. I also heard that this movie won several Oscar awards and also did a top business worldwide. But when I watched this movie I did not find any thing special in this, its just an ordinary fiction movie . I don't know why people like this movie too much. Can you define at least one reason that why you like this movie ?

The kids love it. Actually it's their movie.
But surprisingly the adult movie goers like it too.
I specially like the visual part of the movie.

i like harry potter series because the majic shown in it looks so orginal.

I like all of the movies because i love the books but i especially love "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" because i felt it protrayed the mood of the book very well. I also felt that the acting,special effects, and settings were so good, since it was so dark it seemed more realistic than the tone and mood of the others

I like the characters and the story. Sure it's just a fiction movie but it's well made and has a solid storyline.
