Re-Reading A Diary

The other day I ran across my old diary that I wrote when I was 16 and I will be 50 on the 18th of this month. I smiled as I sat down for the afternoon flipping through it and reading the old passages. Now with experience and age with me...I saw the attitude I had as a teen-ager and could feel the heartbreak once again of breaking up with a certain boy. It was like a trip down memory lane. Have you ever gone back and reread your old diary?

When decluttering a few weeks ago I found an old diary of mine, not so long ago written as yours, although I can remeber a few things I wrote in my diary when I was 16 and kept a dairy. Anne Frank got me started on keeping a diary. Anyway this dairy was written a few years ago, I know I was feeling very low when I wrote in it and as now I am happy I dare not read it as I'm sure I will be shocked at some of the things I wrote. I have hidden it at the bottom of my underwear drawer, I don't know if I shall ever read it or just throw it away.

That would be a tough one. Perhaps someday you will be over the feelings you still have about the diary and be able to read it
