I know years ago people did not know what this was and people were considered senile. WIth it SO muc on the rise now, it is getting where almost everyone knows someone with it, either as a friend r family member. I feel that it has to be due to some of the things added to our foods in processing. What are your thoughts as to why we are having it more and more and younger and younger ages??

Age, food, lifestyle, society...these are I think a few factors causing it. How to prevent it? I guess it's proper diet (there are foods for the brain), physical and mental activity (I read that it's good to daydream or use the power of imagination), and listening to classical music such as Bach, Rachmaninoff, etc. I even told my children to buy us (my husband included) classical music to be played softly in the house when we're 70 or something to avert the onset of Alzheimer's...you know, it's just a thought, it may be crazy, but what the heck, I'll give it a try. You may want to try it with old family members...
