I just went for my checkup today and the doctor told me i was losing my mucus plug. She said it was normal, but as always i like to investigate a little further because i love hearing advice from moms about this. When did you lose your MP and do you remember how soon after that you were having contractions??? and how soon you went into labor? I'd really appreciate the adivice! Im so nervous and excited about giving birth!

I lost mine about a week or so before I had my first son. It's amusing to think that a MP is the first thing a woman loses before the baby is to be born. Of all things that could be a sign mother nature picks mucus? It reminds me of letting bath tub water out pull the plug and down the water goes lol same as when the MP comes out pretty soon the water is sure to follow and then a bouncing bundle of joy. Good luck on your birthing and I hope everything goes well. Remember that the pain will not last forever even though it may feel like it and after it's all over and you see your baby and hold him/her for the first time all that pain will be well worth it.
