Is there any way of getting rid of annoying skin tags without seeing a doctor? I had one ripped off by accident & it hurt. I hate them but don't really want to bother my doctor about it.

It's probably best that you see a doctor regarding the removal of these. In the event that you attempt to remove more (whether by intentional means or accident) you run the risk of infection and other risks that could result in a required doctors visit. There may be a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon that would do a patient consult on you for little or no money--they would be able to get you a better solution than personal, alternative approaches.

This is true...I wouldn't want to risk an infection.

How is health care where you are? I would understand not wanting to bother the doctor if you were an American without insurance, but if you have health care paid for where you are, then go for it!! It's not costing you anything, and it will be removed by a professional. I'm in Canada, and as long as health care is covered, I am going to use it!!!

The healthcare is pretty good here in Australia although most doctors charge you to see them unless you have a pension card - I have a pension card so maybe I should see the doctor to see what he says
