Travel is a rare hobby and it improves one's knowledge a lot. The first step of course is to read books and articles on travel and then tne next step would be to visit places. Visiting places inculde new countries, cities, gardens, zoos, sport grouds and other spots. How many of us really enjoy visiting tourist spots with our families and friends? If that hobby is cultivated it will be the best hobby of all times!

Travel is my top hobby and it continues to teach me very much indeed. I went on a safari in Kenya and met the Masai Mara tribe. I have visited religious buildings and places like The Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall. I have done much snorkeling and have seen sting rays and small sharks. I have noticed that the people in poor countries are much happier that those that live in the richer countries. I have learned about history from visiting Mayan ruins in Central America and in New Zealand I learned about geography with the river crossing I had to do.

I also think that traveling is the best hobby of all. I really like traveling, and I think it is a great way to learn something about a different country and a different culture. I always like to read about the country before I go there. I enjoy reading about the history, the sights, the culture etc. I also like to learn some of the local language. I know from experience that it is very useful to learn some of the greetings, the basic expressions, the signs and that kind of things.
