There is a saying says we are born with two ears, but just one mouth we should listen twice as much as we speak. We need to be a skilled listeners so that we can benefit from information shared by others, as well as provide a response that will benefit them as much as ourselves. Listening is hard, because it means turning off our thought and emotions to focus on those of the person who is speaking most of us prefer airing our own ideas over listening to those of others. many companies will pay an expert trainer to come and educate employees about how to effectively use their ears in the work place, so if one is a good listener then he or she will be an asset to any company.

Yes I agree with you. Listening, particularly when it is a forced task is really hard job. Even if it is an interesting one we have the pre drawn line sort of that we are no longer interested to listen.
In such way listening is a great art. The judges are the good listeners as they pass their verdict only on the strength of listening to the procedures.
Nice topic.
