i put it in a skillet and cook most of the water out. while the water is cooking out i add chile powder, crushed red peppers, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chicken bullion, and of course the chicken powder provided.

I believe that this is some type of soup if I'm correct. I haven't of course ate this in a long time, I'm not a fan of soup. I believe i just added water with the ingredients that come with the soup and boil it and it lets the noodles fall apart and then its time to eat. Not to bad, i don't add anything into it at all just leave it the way it was in the package and that's it.

That seems like a lot of work for 25 cent noodles. I myself don't like them but my kids love them. We microwave them for 3 1/2 minutes and add the flavoring.

I use them to make something like a cheap lo mein stir fry. I cook up some meat and veggies, then I toss the cooked noodles into the pan and fry them a little too. I add whatever kind of Asian-inspired sauce I can come up with, usually involving soy sauce, garlic, red peppers, ginger, and green onions if I have any. I never use the seasoning packet because the seasoning contains MSG and I'm just not into that.

I used to think that Ramen was the perfect solution for a tight food budget until I made the mistake of reading the nutritional label one day. It is packed full of sodium and saturated fat! I still eat it on occasion, but I pour out almost all of the water after I boil the noodles, then I add only half of the flavoring packet to them so that I limit the amount of fat and salt that I am taking in. The taste is just as good and it is a bit healthier for you. Enjoy! Christian M. Archer
