do you add up your hours before your payday? I do this religiously, that way before I get my paycheck I roughly know how much I am going to bring home and in case their are any discrepencies about the hours I worked I already have my answers before I head to bookkeeping.

I used to do that, there is nothing wrong with it. Keeps accounting honest.

When I got paid by the hour I kept track of my money and estimate how much my check would be.Now I get paid by the day and do the same thing.

I don't work very many hours so it's not hard to keep track of a 4hr shift, but it's nice if there's an exra 1/4 hour wages on there. Otherwise my pay doesn't really change too much until we hit busy season.

I also keep a very close eye on my money, and what I have coming into the house. I usually already have the expenses all mapped out and most my money is gone before it makes it to my bank lol. But I like planning out my pay so i know what I am short, or so I know what goals i need to set for the rest of the month pay wise. I also made a monthly budget that i found in a magazine. I found that we spend less on unnecessary items, and we have more in the savings account by the end of the month.

I do the same thing. I love knowing how I much I have even if it is gone by the next day pretty much in bills, groceries and gas. So it's bittersweet on paydays. I also like to pay attention so I know ahead of time if I need to pick up a shift to make a little extra to make ends meet. Thanks for responding.

I don't do it but I'm sure that I should. I know many people that add up their hours religiously and find many discrepancies.

You'd be surprised. An hour or two I don't make a thing so much, but I've had some issues when the time clock got messed up and I make sure it is straightened out. Thanks for responding.
