I have a macbook but in the office i used windows. For me i prepare mac because its not prone to virus and user friendly. Although windows now are also user friendly but they have lots of viruses. Surfing the net, your not safe anymore even downloading musics and movies. What about you? Which do you prefer?

Windows because I am very familiar with it. Troubleshooting and repair for the hardware and its windows operating system is no big deal to me. If you have right knowledge in maintaining your windows then you a virus problem free. It means if windows have more virus because it more accepted operating system than MAC and Linux and that is why BIll Gates is rich.

i have an old ibook and still works fine. however just last year i bought an asus eeepc and a msi wind which both run windows. i would say both systems -- mac and windows -- are ok. both have advantages and disadvantages. mac for one is great for multimedia as most apple computers come loaded with above average software to meet all your multimedia needs. windows-based pcs on the other hand are really great for office work. one of the biggest disadvantage for mac computers in my opinion is the shortage in freeware. for pc my main complaint is its vulnerability to viruses. i guess if your more concerned about downloading movies and music the mac system would be your best bet. btw -- and you may already know this -- some mac computers can already run windows. that could be a plus as well.
