Has the Internet destroyed the art of arguement? And/or is that a bad thing?

I seem to remember a time when whoever made the best points or even just spoke the loudest won even the most trivial of trivia. Now all you have to do is Wiki or Google and the information in question is laid out for you. Is this detramental to our developement as individuals or is life a more argeeable experience because of it?

Being more informed is a bad thing? Odd. Accepting information from the loudest source is a good thing? If the art of arguing is gone, good riddance, I'd much rather hone the art of debate.

Well put. "Debate" would have been a much better word choice."

i don't really think it has. i mean you still have the freedom of speech and press. so really you can say whatever you want. on sites like this they do have rules about posting immature topics or using offensive language. but all in all you can still debate and post your opion and you should always be able to do that at any time on the web or anywhere else.
