It's my birthday! ... So...

When I was a kid, I used to count the days down till my birthday, and I used to get really excited because I know that my parents would throw a birthday party for me. It's always like that until I reached 18. There were only a few times when I didn't have a birthday party: one was when I was 13, I think, and my parents were overseas; another one was when I was 16 and I was working part time in a fast food joint and in a closing shift; there was one when someone in the family was sick, and of course, it's all right not to have a party then.. After my 18th birthday, my folks stopped throwing parties for me because I moved out already. So I started hosting my own not-so-big birthday parties. This year, unfortunately, recession hit our company and lots of changes occurred, like I was supposed to receive a monetary incentive this month, today to be exact, for perfect attendance - I was never absent nor late for even a minute for one year! I already had plans for it, like to use some to celebrate my big day.. But I guess we shouldn't really count the chicks before they hatch, so to speak.. So, no birthday party for me this year, I guess. But i still get to celebrate it with my loved ones and I'm well adn happy, and that's what counts.. Besides, there's always next year.. and the year after that.. and the next.. and the next.. ^_^ So what's your story?

Happy birthday to you....when I was a little I loved birthdays like any kid i think but I was strange as I got older I never wanted to be a teenager, I dreaded my 21st and then I hated birthdays, so I just don't have them anymore....

Wow! So I guess you never grow old then.. Good for you! Hahaha! When I was a kid, I wanted to be a grown up.. and I wanted to become one fast because there were lots of things that I couldn't do and I wasn't allowed to do.. and for me, being a teenager was one of my most enjoyable and happiest moment and I know a lot of people who'd say the same way.. So I'm wondering why you never wanted to be a teenager?

Thanks for reading a part of my lifestory and I'm glad you like it.. I've had my own share of those 'changes' in life you mentioned, and yeah, some were actually good. But the most recent change, the one I'm facing at the moment, regarding work that is, well, I just hope it's really for the better.. I know that I've turned a year older, but I hope to be wiser, and more responsible, this time, especially with regard to making decisions.. I'll make the most out of everything.. and I never forget HIM. ^_^ Thanks for the greeting, girl! ^_^

Thanks a lot! I know I'll enjoy celebrating my birthday even without a fab party. There comes a time when we have to be practical one way or the other, and I guess my time has just come. It's also a good timing because I'm really kinda busy with work and most of my friends have crazy work schedules that we barely see each other. What's party without guests, right? ^_^

Well Happy Birthday! I never really got into birthday parties and begged my parents to stop having them for me when I was young. My mother threw one for my 30th four years ago.

Wow! Really? Consider yourself lucky for having such wonderful and generous parents. Not that mine aren't, but if I'd have another party, I'd like to do it my way. However, if my parents insist, then I'd let them bring it on.. hahaha! Anyway, I look forward to a lot more birthday parties for me.. Thanks for the greetings! ^_^
