I just dont understand why a few friends or anyone would like to enjoy n ve fun by hurting others n make them do things they wouldn like to. Its ragging in colleges tat m talking about.. Why does someone ve to tease or hurt another person jus for his entertainment? Its being a predominant problem over here in several colleges n many cases of disastrous after effects ve been reported.. A few give up their lives..n many even stop going to colleges jus cuz they don like themselves bein made fun of in front of their friends .. Its so annoying to realize tat some people are so inhuman to not care bout others feelings.. Ragging could be fun if it was on a lighter note n a formal introduction wit seniors after it would make the one so happy.. But surely a irresponsible authority in the institution n a few mischievous students is all it takes for a dreadful nightmare for new entries. I wonder if this is prevalent in other country too.. ?

I think no matter what its always going to happen. I mean in college they banned hazing and guess what I hang out with a frat and I can tell you it happens in every frat and sorority still. It sucks that it happened. I mean my college had to deal with it a few years ago so I know the impact that it makes. Nobody sees how bad it is actually hurting the person until something bad happens.

At some points I wish that was all that would happen if it couldn't stop. Nope - we had to see over 30 people get killed over it. And I think at that point it finally really went into the spotlight about how big the issue could be. But then again I see another side of the issue where they say kids who do the crazy acts of violence are mental ill and therefore shouldn't be able to be around a ton of individual if the signs are showing. But is that fair? Not really... but it depends on what angle you look at it.

Well dilip_naik11 in my country it is still going on. When I was in lower classes I found that wrong and gradually when I entered my upper classes then I came to understand why do the elders do that. It is simply for fun and entertainment. But the moment the ragging turns naughty then I am against that. I don't like it hurting people over there who were younger than me. It is bad and sometimes when the girls cried I was feeling very guilty and very angry about my friends who used to do that.

Hi Dilip, Ragging at 1st is great way to know new people at college and it was a noble one earlier but what we are seeing now is just nasty things in colleges. That is why Supreme Court is trying to bane it.. Hope people will understand esteem of other one and don't do anything which harm any body's morale or self respect....
