India

I start this discussion so that anyone can know his status. 1. Self employed means you are your own Boss, Unemployed means no Boss 2. Self emp. means lots of work, unemp. means no work at all. 3. Self emp. means follow your rule, unemp means you need not to follow any rule. If you further have some proper distinction between these two categories then share here. Tell who are you as well. Is you proud of become self employed.

YOu got your own scheme, you controll how fast your business is growing, your salary doesn't depend on somebody else, you can sleep at mornings, you can take a day off sometimes without telling anyone about it or asking for permission.

Not to mention the freedom to work whatever time you want...I work till 6am and then sleep all day.

My family keeps saying to me get a job and i keep having to remind them that I DO have a job...I work for myself and in a sense own my own business. Then they say .."Get a REAL job"... i don't understand why it is so hard for them to accept that the first couple of years that you are self employed it is hard to make ends meet...but, don't worry, when I'm making my millions, I'll remember them... for all the support that they DIDN'T give me! My business is registered and I have jobs coming in...it's probably cause they think i just stay home doing nothing. I am a graphic artist and jobs just don't come in everyday and even when they do, I work for myself so I don't have to work during the day like everyone else... I can stay up till 6am and then sleep all day if i want to... I hate that they undermine me.
