For the past few days I have been logging in on ciao using the "other way", (I discovered it out of desperation to get in again) but now I totally can't log in. Upon reading some topics about the problem I'm still hoping that I can be able to log in, write and rate reviews. I already send few questions to KAitlin the administrator, and until now I haven't receive any answers, I'm disappointed, sad and shock. I read here that ciao already banned Asians in the site, I hope its not true but I think the company is now cleaning up the site. What really makes me sad is I can see my account but I can't no longer see "everything", and of course I can't deny the income involve in the site. I hope ciao will inform us about our situation and don't leave us hanging and questioning each other.

As the member above said, I feel Ciao.com needs to really restore some credibility to the site. With the amount of copied reviews on the site and the really poorly written reviews with absolutely no evidence of the writer having even used or owning the product and these reviews receiving high ratings from other cheating members and decent reviewers getting revenge ratings from these cheats, it was not doing the site any good at all and had become a bit of a laughing stock on other credible review writing sites. Whatever action Ciao has taken it's within their rights and of course, one hopes that it will restore some of the credibility it's lost with all the nonsense that's been going on there. I doubt Ciao has the time to notify the 1000s of members individually as to why they have taken the action they have taken but I imagine only 5% of those banned were actually honest reviewers and one would imagine that from Ciao's point of view that is too low to consider keeping those few accounts live.

Hi mil, totally agree with those views, though i too come under the banned category, i can well understand the admins decisions. The way that site was misused and abused would have made anyone agree with their decision, but i really would miss writing on ciao..I hope in time i am able to join back again, hopefully with some strict regulations in place

It is precisely because of such under hand tactics that the site has taken this decision, i guess some people never learn ..

sad news but yeah it's most likely true. CIAO is now like those others which are open for us/canada only. Wish i had an US IP!
