Just wanting to know how many mylotters are also freecyclers. For those who don't know about freecycle, it's a good way to give away your unwanted stuff & gain stuff you need. All internet based through yahoo groups. I love freecycle.

Just go to yahoo groups & search for freecycle. You will need a yahoo id. Once you get to the freecycle page, just search for the group in your area & join.

Hi. That sounds great. Too bad there aren't any groups in my area who do that - that I know of, anyway. I just usually sell stuff I don't need on e-bay but I guess freecycling is better.

I am a member of various Freecycle groups in my area and run one. I have had many useful items from Freecycle and given stuff away too. all the best urban

definitely! it is a good way to get things that you need and get rid of things that you dont - all for free. last summer, i got a free cycle air conditioner but it ended up being too big and too heavy for the window, so guess what? i freecycled it again!

I've done some freecycling before, both ways. It's definitely a good way to get rid of some stuff that would have just gotten pitched to begin with. There's also a good opportunity to receive some really nice stuff that you couldn't have afforded any other way. It's people helping people. The best of both worlds.

Freecycle is great! I use it when I have items that I don't think I could sell, or have tried to sell unsuccessfully. It's a great resource and it keeps usable items out of the dump!

I personally am not a freecycler, but my husband was big into it when he was in the USa. I don't know if they have freecycle. Hubby has found all kinds of great things that way, including a wheelchair for me to use in AZ, because there was no public transportation. I have a hard time walking, so this was ideal. We also managed to get rid of some god stuff that way, including a CAR that we coudln't use anymore, because he went blind.

I am not a freecycler and this is the first time I come across the term. It sound like a great idea, another person trash is another person treasure, just swap! I think I am willing to try if there's such group in my area.
