I have bronchitis and I pee when I cough...any suggestions

I'm not yet 40. I still have 2 months. I can't see myself going into a store and buying "Depends." But I am beside myself. 5 kids have brought my bladder to the point of no return. Generally, I can work with it. Stand up...cross my legs...stifle it until I can go to the bathroom. But Dam mit, this is too much to bear. The first time I my life I have felt like going the "depends" route.
For those of you who find this discussion disgusting, I agree, but it's easier to get out with people you have never met face to face. LOL

I understand how you feel, but I have not found a solution to my problem with that either. I agree Depends are a bit much but you probably will have to use some kind of padding. Once I talked myself into it, it really is not so bad and I can relax knowing I am "covered" for those uncontrollable moments.

Hi Cyn. You will just to have to use it. I usually do when I have nerve wracking coughs. Everybody does here where I live. It's no shame for us. It would be more embarrassing if we do it in our undies. At lest if we wear napkins or diapers, we could wash and then change it afterward. And you could not control it properly, especially when the cough comes in a fit. Cheers and happy mylotting.
