Why do you like to travel?

I was chatting to my friend on the phone today and she said she thinks I like traveling because I haven't learned to drive and getting around on public transport is such a bother for me. Actually I will still love traveling abroad after I pass my driving test and get my car on the road. When I was a child I dreamed of visiting different countries. I wanted to go to places that I saw in photos and read about in books. I did a couple of projects at school that further encouraged my interest. I had a globe and I understood where the Equator is, the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn are. As a teenager I worked hard to deliver newspapers and sell things on Saturday in a shop. I was proud that through that effort I managed to afford to go to Greece with my mum when I was 14 years old. Since then I have been to more than fifty different countries because of my yearning for travel from a very young age. Why do you like to travel? At what sort of time in your life did you begin traveling?

I've been traveling since I was a kid. It's something that I've been used to doing for a while. Now, I enjoy traveling, because I'm a curious type of person. I enjoy learning. And I believe that traveling is a good way to learn about new places, different cultures, and such. It gives us something that books, or television can't give us. It gives us more of a sense of what the people, the cultures, and such really are, which books can't give us. Books can give us an idea, but not to the same extent as traveling can.

Hello maximax. I am very glad for you to have realized your dream for traveling to so many countries. In fact, I used to and still have this dream of traveling around in China as China itself is a great country for me to travel. I used to think that I can change my working places every year for that purpose of traveling in a cheap way, but later I found that this dream or plan of mine is not realistic. To move from working in one place in another is not a good idea for me at all. I love to have a stable working place and a stable job. But I do take the good chances of traveling when I am assigned to have a conference in a different city, which is a cheap way for me. Happy traveling, friend.

Hi maximax, I started traveling since I can remember, because my mother live in El Salvador and her family lived in Nicaragua. My Father's family live in Spain, then my mother's favorite sister live with her husband, who happened to be my godfather, he also was spanish, they live in many different countrys, and by the age of 10 I had visited, about five more countries. Then when I was 15 we move to an island in the Caribbean, Dominican Republic, from there I have never stopped, Canada, USA, Europe, I lived in many countries, But Dom. Rep. has been my base, I married and my husband is in Hotel bussiness and so the traveling has keep going on. I think I will never stop, or maybe one day I will find a place that I love so much that I will call my Home.

I don't know the exact reason but I think perhaps it is because of the curiosity and love towards the outside world. I REALLY admire you cause you seemed to have experienceed so much! One day,I will realise my own dreams too!
