I joined Netflix last night! I hope it is not too good to be true...

netflix - watch movies instantly or have it sent to you via snail mail on dvd

From what I understand of it so far it costs $9.89 a month with tax and I can watch movies instantly on my computer and/or have movies delivered to my home mail box via snail mail. I have looked the site over and checked out the FAQ's as to if I will be billed extra per month for some unknown reason or other. From what I am understanding it is a one time monthly fee and I can watch unlimited movies (both ways as mentioned above). I think this is awesome and I hope I am understanding this correctly. Has anyone here in mylot joined Netflix? If so are you happy with it? Did any "hidden fees" come across? They state that when they send a movie via snail mail they pay for postage both ways. I am excited with this offer and I hope it isn't too good to be true!

I had netflix for a while and I liked it, but now we have Direct TV and I no longer use them.

For the most part, if you use the instant online movies it will be cheaper then using satilite or cable. You can even watch the movies that are playing on Starz (movie channel) instantly. But if you have regular shows on channel that you can only get through satilite or cable you really don't need Netflix. It's all about personal preference

We've had netflix for a few months now and there really are no hidden fees. We watch movies on our computers all the time from the website. You can also, if you have xbox live, stream the videos through your xbox onto the tv. We use that feature alot with out youngest son. He enjoys lying in our bed watching them

Thanks. And am I correct when I watch movies instantly and if I don't llke the movie and end it and start another I won't be charged. I saw something about a 2 hour per month time limit. Do you know what that means? Or maybe I missed understood it? I have the unlimeted for 9.89 is that what you have?

we have the basic package that allows us to view movies online as well as get 1 DVD at a time in the mail. There is no limit on how much time you spend watching movies instantly on your computer. I have played movies back to back all day long when I was sick and it didn't charge us or cut me off. It really is a great thing. I love it.

We had netflix when we lived in the USA, but theywon't do anything in Canada. I understand if theywon't ship to Canada, but we coudln't even rent movies on screen to watch up here. they seemed to block that feature outside of the USA for some dumb reason, so we got rid of them.

I have had netflix for a few years now and I love it.. I love the nature show and don't always catch them when they are on and having no commercials to contend with is awesome. I watch all the "The way we were" series with Judi Dench and Geoffery Palmer and loved them. I would never had that chance if not for netflix. xoxoxoxoxo

i'm not a member of Netflix, but it sounds like a good deal to me. I think I'll check it out. It gets kinda boring here at my job at night on the weekends, and we only have basic cable here at work.
