Searching for Members..

Hello to everyone~! (^_^ )
We all know that we can search for discussions, tasks, blogs, photos and even messages (if we tag our own messages) here in myLot but, why can't we search for other members in this site?
Of course, there is the tedious way of searching for them by location, top referrers and users by rating.
Then again, why can't we simply type the name of a member and then we'd get to view their profile page? How about a page showing possible members who have similar names if not at least among the syllables?
Would their be disadvantages if something like that be possible here in myLot?
What do you guys think?

It is SOOO simple tosearch for a user here if you know there username.
Just put this link http://www.mylot.com/'username' in your browser and replace 'username' with the name of the friend you are searching for.

The only way we could easily seach for a member her in mylot is to type www.mylot/username... that would take us directly to the profile page of the member... but it would be nice if mylot would be able to device a way we can see the members in an alphabetical way... that will surely make our lives here a lot easier...

Yeah, I was thinking of the same thing, something easy for us and not the way that I just found out a while ago.. then again, while there's no feature like that, I guess we just have to make use of what we can at the moment.. (^_^")

there's no direct quick serach facility here. you had to type some codes.

Ive been using the search feature on myLot to look for other members. It doesnt come up with much of anything but at least it does come up with something. I just set the tab(?) on web so at least there are results from the yahoo search engine. I was looking for 4 members at different occasions before and I was able to find them with that search function.
Trying searching for your profile on that web search above. It did your profile as the top result. A discussion you started a year ago about the movie 300, your deviantart profile, two of your reviews on sharedreviews and your onemanga forum profile.
Would be nice to see some name suggestions as we type the letters of the name we were looking for. It would really help especially when we only know the first letter of the username.LOL

We just have to know the user name of the specific member that we want to look for and just type it after www.mylot.com/ was quite easy to begin with.. a but silly that I didn't think about that at first..
Yeah, we could yield a lot of from just selecting the web before searchinghere in this site..
If one is really active in different sites, you might be able to find a lot of sites that are related to that person.. as you have provided in your post..

That too.LOL Ive been using that way(adding the username at the end), since its already stated, I just shared my other alternative.
Well, its just a suggestion. Though I dont think there are a lot of people looking for other people in this site on a daily basis.

Hello ratyz5! That's what I am thinking too. I am really hoping that we can search for mylot members too aside from the discussion that they made. I even look for it and if there's any other way I can search for mylot members but sad to say, I think there's really no way we can search for members using their username. I guess it would be advantageous to all of us.
