about my digital camera

i have a sony w 300 digital camera but the battery with it has a very limited usage capacity. i had full charging in it but could use it only for about 4 hrs is there any problem with the battery or it is in general like that.

Your Sony battery life is better than average for this type of camera. If you want to get the 300 shots that Sony says is possible on one charge, you need to use the viewfinder instead of the LCD screen to focus and compose your shots. LCD screens chew power, and the motors that drive the shake reduction, zoom and autofocus take their toll, too. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to fully charge the battery in the Sony charger, and that's a fair guide to how long it will last in normal use - 4 to 5 hours!Having a spare battery and only checking your shots on the screen when you have to instead of after every exposure will add to your battery life. So will charging the battery only when it is completely flat.

Hi, anishnc, it depends on how you use your DC, if you press the bottom to focus and take the photo, without using the flash and re-focus again and again, the battery should run a little bit longer. 4hrs, I think it is generally like that. happy myLotting !!
