Capital punishment: Fair or Unfair ?

Is it correct to punish a person in today's civilized world by taking his life?
I personally think that it is totally fair.
A person who does not hesitate in taking life of other people for no reason except greed is just like a mad dog.If he does not care for the life of other people then he cannot be called a human anymore.

I agree with you. I wish we had capital punishment here in the UK, it might lower crime rates. I think that if its been proves by DNA that someone took another life or if that person admitts it then they should definately have their life taken from them. My mother has always said, it says in the Bible "an eye for an eye". You could agrue the point of who ever kills the killer is also a killer and have there life taken too. All I can say is I wouldn't like the responsiabilty of killing the killer, but I do agree with it 100%.
I think the UK needs some stricter laws bringing in. People are getting away with far too much now-a-days!
