Meta Tags and Search Engine Submitting

This is a question mainly for people that have their own website or know about submitting websites to search engines. I have already submitted my website to several search engines using "Add Website" software and now I have change the meta tags of my site to better ones. My question is will this affect where I submitted my webpage to the search engines? Do I leave it alone or do I re-submit or what? I needed new meta tags because the old ones weren't good (I checked them with Google).
