Whare to find a task ?

Hey could someone help me out with this. Where do I find tasks? I clicked on the tasks tab on the mylot menu but I don't get any tasks to sign up for. Is it that only at some times there are tasks available for users to accept? I'm a little confused about this. Also have you'll actually earned through tasks? Is the pay for a task completed good? Could you please let me know these few questions I have in mind. Thanks in advance. :)
