Thats life, my dear. Its a very small thing to happen and you should take it as such. You are still young and when you are young its easy to fall prey to such people. For the life of me i cannot understand how you can have feelings for someone you have never met or seen. How do you know that he is young, he may be an old man masquerading as a young man. There are many people out to fool others. I will give you an example. Some months ago a young college going girl started to date a person online who was married. She never met him but soon got so involved that she was prepared to marry him when he professed his undying love and when he said that he would leave his wife and children for her. One day he asked her to meet him at a hotel and said that they would elope and get married. At night the girl quietly left her house with a small suitcase and went to that hotel. When she reached it she went up to the hotel room which he had booked. When the man opened the door both of them got the shock of their lives because it was her own father who had been dating her!! This is a true story as i read it in a newspaper. So consider youself to be lucky to have got rid of your " boyfriend ".

It sounds to me like it may be best for you to remain online friends at this time. Maybe he is not really ready to meet you yet. You could also sugest that he be honest about his feelings for you.
