Where would you choose to live if you are self-employed, and why?

As a self-employed business owner, where would you choose to live in the continental United States, and why?
I would personally choose Tampa, FL, due to the low cost of living, close proximity to beaches, and laid back nature of the area.

i would like to live in washington dc area.
i think it is very convinient to live there and less spend.
people there are also good ,i think so .

Interesting choice. I actually lived in DC, but moved out due to the uptight people, bad traffic, and extremely high cost of living.
