is there such thing as lifetime marrages in this day and age.my friends parents were married 50 years and just got divorced.that is crazy.

Wow 50 years then divorced - that is so sad. I really hope that marriage is not fading out. It seems to me that people these days aren't taking their marriages very seriously anymore. A lot of people are giving up and not wanting to work on them. I've been married almost 9 years and I hope that I'll be married for a long time. However, I know that anything can happen and that could change.
