How does mylot pay us?

Well as you'll have noticed there are loads and loads of users on myLot. At the end of every month paying so many users is not that easy. And there are some users very active that they earn pretty much. So from where do you think mylot gets so much money to pay us? Is it just through advertisements that the income is high enough to pay us, maintain all the servers and still be at a profit? Your views and opinions on this please.
