I think I am. 5 oout of my 6 teams made it to the playoffs. The Rd Wings , the Caps, the Rangers, The POenguins,And The Flames. the bad news is that my Caps have to play The Rangers in the first round. It should be good match up . But the first round match up I am looking forward to is The Flyers and The Penguins.this should be good, real good. so are you ready for the playoffs? What match up are you looking forward to? ps, My 6th team? The Coyotes.

I cant wait for Anh and SJ. I think that will be a hella of a great series with some good ole bad blood like we havent seen in couple years. They Sharks hate Perry on the Ducks, Blake has gotten in trouble going Duck hunting after the whisle this year, both can score, both have solid goalies.. This is not a 1 vs 8, this could easly be feature team that could win the Cup, to bad I dont think the series winner will get out of the next round due to nothing left. I look for multi OTs, and MAYBE a line brawl or two. One way or other this should be a fantastic series... ooooo im so amped... more so then over Wings BJ's, and that one has me nervous. Philly Pens, should be second best series.. just honestly.... I don't think Philly's goalies will do them any favors, but on same note I dont know if Pens can play physical, they lost a lot of heart, and the rentals can't fill that void. Btw Helm should play in game one, Leino is slated to come in if any goes down or just has a abad game... BIG RIG gets the go. hopefully ends up paired with Lids to contain Nash.. Sad rumor of the day... Lilja may be done.. Postconcussion isnt looking good....

Boston will take out Montreal in what should be the best series of the opening round. I cannot wait for that series to kick off Thursday!! Washington should handle the Rangers pretty well. Lundqvist may get them a game or two, but the series belongs to Washington. I look for Carolina to upset New Jersey and Pittsburgh to beat Philadelphia. That should be another great series. Had Philly won home ice on Sunday I would have went with them but they didn't and I'm going with Pittsburgh. It's that close of a series. San Jose and Anaheim will be a good, physical, tight series. That is, that each game will be played out that way because I think San Jose can finish them off quick in 5 games or less. I think Columbus will upset Detroit. Vancouver and St. Louis a lot of people I know have been saying will be really close but this is the one series I see a possible sweep in favour of Vancouver. Chicago should have little trouble Calgary. Calgary just seems to be in quite the downward spiral at the moment and Chicago has put together some nice momentum that should carry over to a convincing series win there despite the inexperience of the Hawks.

let the play off bantering begin... I agree with a lot of your picks then on others couldnt disagree more.. I can see Columbus up setting Det, Boston should beat Montreal, Calgary will be lucky to win one game I think. Washington in 6... Carolina, I agree could upset NJ, but stomach tells me Brodeur could steal one more series... you can see my disagreement with SJ ANH, and forgot ur STL VAN pick.. im saying tight series.. Luongo finally proves he is a primier goalie stealing the deciding game and Vancouver wins

I realize I've been going back and forth with jaredlp a little bit but I would also say lucky you on getting five of your six teams in. I personally have just two favourites, Dallas and Tampa Bay. Neither got in. But I do have teams that I've liked cheerin for of late and really hope they go far. One from each conference actually. Columbus and Washington. I don't know how far Columbus will go. They should get past the first round, but if they then run into San Jose it may be the brick wall to spell their demise. Washington though has a real shot to come out of the East if they can get some consistantly decent goaltending. The offense is enough where it doesn't need to be great, but they will need it to be good.

Only thing i really have to say is I have seen a lot of anti Detroit people picking them. They all are saying the same thing, IF Detroit shows up and plays then no one can stop them, but if they keep in the bad habits they could get knocked out. Several players have said their main mission was to get to the playoffs healthy, which beside Lilja, they are. And honestly Ericsson is a HUGE upgrade over Lilja, so I don't see that hurting them. Remember this almost exact team made Pittsburgh look very bad in the Finals last year. If any team can flip a switch and say its go time, this is the team. Sorry for homering out there for a second..
