I have been wanting to start rope jumping but have not. But after reading this discussion you post up, I think I am going to start rope jumping as i have a skipping rope. I do stair climbing ground zero to 16 floor for exercise but i am not on a diet. i still eat as I always did and did loose weight.

Diet and exercise go together, but exercising in the mornings will not do as much for weight if you skip breakfast. Breakfast brings up your rate of matabolism up and will make your exercise work more for you towards loosing weight. Most experts agree that eating small amounts more times a day will help more than skipping meals. When you skip meals the body desides you are starving it and will drop your rate of metobalism so it can save energy for later. It is what you eat that is important, actually should I say what you don't eat that will help. Skip the food high in calories and fat. To much sugar is not healthy either. High fiber veggies will increase energy and give the body the vitimans it needs. Healthy protien can include many things, just watch the way the protien is cooked and the amount. fruits high in sugar, breads and desserts should be low on the list of foods consumed. I have found after loosing more than 40 kilos (more than 90 lbs) that loosing weight and getting into shape is a way of life. For me working out in the pool 6 days a weeks is addicting. Water adds resistance and makes it easier on the joints. I have arthritis and the heated pool is easier on the joints also. Jumping rope would not work for me for that reason, but I realize it is wonderful exercise.

To lose weight, one should take care of hie diets and do exercises side by side. But it is not good for your husband to skip his meals.Instead,he should eat thrice a day atleast watching out,not to get fatty or cholesterol rich foods.Again,he should not miss any of his meals.Cheers!
