I hate having a 9 to 5 job. I wish I could start a business and work from home. I feel like I would get more work done, and I would be a happier person. What ideas does everyone have for starting businesses?

you can try trading etc online, you will be free to do it on your own time, i am also doing the same. When i have earned enough for a day, i switch to mylot etc where i refresh myself and get ready for next day's work.

I thought about trading online, but I don't know whether it's profitable becase the competition is very fierce, there're a lot of existing sellers online already. Have you done this buiness before? Can you give me some suggestions? Thanks!

I always tell people that want to start their own business is to figure out what they love, then find a way to make money from it. Starting your own business is rewarding work, but it is also difficult, because you don't have a boss standing over your shoulder to make you work. In order to stay motivated in what you do, you should choose something that you enjoy doing and are very good at. That way, if things should not work out the way you plan, you won't feel discouraged and quit doing it.

Actually I agree with you. I'm interested in fashion and think I have a good sense about fashion, so I want to become a fashion designer and build my own business by selling clothes designed by myself in the future. But I'm totally an outsider in this filed, even don't know how to tailor clothes. Do you have any comments toward my situation? Should I study tailor and fashion design in colleges for 3-4 years? Maybe it's too long a time, do you have any better ideas? Thanks!

The idea that someone had earlier about writing down your interests was great. Once you have your interests written down, start writing down what you know about these interests. If you don't have any money to spare, sign up with a site like Squidoo or Hub pages and start picking apart your interests into really small parts and writing about the small parts. On Squidoo, you can break apart your paragraphs with products from Amazon or eBay to make money from the sale of these products through your page. Once you start making some fairly steady income through Squidoo, then invest in a domain and some webhosting and start your own blog. If your Squidoo lenses don't make money then all you are out is time, but you will also get a good idea if that particular interest will be able to sustain income or not.

The ideas can't come from anyone but yourself. What do you enjoy? What skills or talents do you already have? Are you a writer? You can become a freelance writer. Do you like coaching people? You can become a life/business coach. The world is really your oyster if you really think about it. I suggest start by writing down all the things you like to do, i.e. hobbies, interests etc... Then do some research and see if you can make a business out of it. Secondly, I suggest to people that the fastest way to get into business is by joining a network marketing company. This takes a bit of skill to pick out the great companies from the less-than-honest ones. Either which, way ... you'll need to get some business and marketing skills under your belt if you want to have success with it. Hope that helps somewhat.

Well, if you want a job that you can work at home. Besides coming to mylot and open an online shop. There is no other good advices that i can come up with. But i do think that you should start the business which you are familiar with, or the thing you love very much. I have a fiend who open an online shop saling clothes that she like, it seems pretty good, coz she like shopping as well. lol.. Wish you all the best.

I wish i can start my own business too. I am a little bit lost during this period because I'm going to finish my school life.I have to find a job,or any other way to make money.I am a lazy bone.I don't want to work outside. What's more, i find working for others is not interesting to myself. I don't think i can't live like that way for many many years. So i begin to think about my own business. But the fact is that, during this hard time,it is very difficult to start any business.I have thought that i can run an e-shop. What's your opinion about that?
