replace computer?

It might be, But I don't think it will, most of us use laptop nowadays. But still, for me, Desktop rules. ^_~ lol

Computers etc nowadays are becomimg more and more smaller and although at the moment the small ones do not hold much mememory eventually they will and I should think that they will also be as powerful as any other computer we can get now...littleowl

Desktop computer I believe is still the best in office work. The mini laptop computers will be a part of our daily mobile life because it is practical to bring it anywhere we are. It is good that is slimmer and easy to carry along.

Well, that could be a possibility. If you notice nowadays, a lot of things are getting slimmer and smaller. Almost all digital gadgets are going for the small ones. Portability as well as greater memory has now become the fad. So most likely time will come that the desktop will no longer be as big as it is, or perhaps will be replaced. Remember the betamax, then it goes into VHS, then you have the laser disc, then the vcd and now the DVD. What will be next?

I don't think the standard PC will ever be replaced, its an office staple.

I don't agree, but I think the mini computer will become more and more popular. As the desktop also have many their own advantage. Like the configuration of a desktop is better than the laptop with the same price. Happy mylotting! Rocketsky.

Maybe, someday....................way in the future. It is not going to disappear anytime soon though. There are some things you don't want to be "too" portable because that is how they come up missing or stolen. How many pencils and pens are missing from your desk or office?? hhmmmmm??? How would you like to come to work and find your computer has been "borrowed" never to be returned or seen again?

I don't believe that desktop computers will disappear. I myself like my desktop. Not altogether at least. But there is always the possibility that it might happen.
