Problem with paypal

hello mylotters, I am having problem with paypal. Recently I opened a new account for one of my friends and I transferred 1 cent to his account to test it. But after transfer is done, it says that the money is "unclaimed" and I can also cancel it.
I logged into my friend's account and no money has been transferred there?
what is wrong? My account is unverified( and my friend one also).

Yes you need to verify your account but for that you need a credit card. Some people don't have them so you need to go on and see else you can get verified. I ended up sending them through there site. copies of my utility bills which had my address on it.And something else but can't remember what it was at the moment.

If you are able to verify your paypal accounts, it just provides you with an easier to use paypal account. Right at the moment, there will be limits on your account. Verifying through the verification proceedure will lift those limits.
But the choice is your on what you want to do.
