Have you ever thought about becoming an actor? Do you think that you would be convincing. If you were an actor or actress, who do you think you would be more like?

I am a dancer, which is like acting in a lot of ways, being a performing art. I have dabbled in different theater-related activities, mostly doing impersonations of some of Gilda Radner's Saturday Night Live characters (most notably Rosanne Rosannadanna and Baba Wawa) at social gatherings and events. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback on this, however, I could never be a comidienne/comic actress if I had to write the material myself as humor is definitely not my forte - if I ever say or do anything funny, there is a safe bet I am just imitating something I saw or heard somewhere else. I'm more of a dramatic/emotional person. As far as whether I could be an actor by profession, I am not certain that would be the thing for me. I've haven't had much training in the area of acting - it doesn't come near as naturally to me as dance or music. I think I would enjoy something like musical theater though. If it required something like uprooting to New York or LA, then I could never do it. I could never survive in a big city. It's not something I could do in lieu of dance either. I'd like to learn more eventually, but just for fun and recreation. Dance will always be my real profession.
