what will you do when you are tension or stressed?

I understand normally we all would be tension or stressed about few matters such as family burden, financial problem, job requirement by your employer and others. Thus, what will you do when you are on tension or stressed? How can we overcome tension or stressed?

I always feel tension or stressed especially speak something in front of many people,i think i'm not very confident in myself.And each time,i will stare the front and do not see others,then i can get some relax.Or sometimes i like to hold something in my hand and scratch it tightly,it also can make me feel ease.If it's the matter about family burden or financial problem or job requirement,etc.I think i will choose to chat with my friends,take a walk outside or write something down

I try to get extra sleep, try not to dwell on it and be realistic. If it gets real bad I get some exercise and try to find something to take my mind off of it. I go to a counselor if I am not able to cope just to be sure I am dealing with it as I should be and to get some advice. Meditation and visualization is a very good tool for this as well. Picture yourself on a beach somewhere or that you are able to reach a conclusion even if it is not a winning situation.

Sometimes its a walk, a chat with a friend online, take time to just sit back and watch a movie. If I am stressed about something that I can try to fix, I do just that to get rid of the stress as soon as I can. If its stress that isn't fixable right away or worry that I can't do anything with, I walk, I write, I take a hot bath, or take a car ride... This way I don't take it out on another person, it isn't fair to them, unless it is derserving..lol naww still would clear the mind of stress before approaching it with them.

Here's a slice of what I do to ease tension... Exercise/yoga Visit an arboretum Take a ride around the local area listening to music Read a book Warm bath Go to a park where there's a fountain, to a river/creek and focus on the sound of the running water Play with a small child, read them a story.. something to make them laugh Play with a small animal Write Take a 10-20 minute nap Work in a garden Hope that's a little helpful
