The Good Ol' 1970's!

I have an assignment due, but before people think I want some answers, let me explain why I am posting this discussion. In Classic Films, we have a project to pick anyone considered a hero in the 1970's, and I'm not sure what keywords to use to search, and my mum doesn't know of anyone. Dr. Suess was already taken. All I need from you, Reader, is to tell me who would make a good hero from the 70's. I, of course, will do the reasearch and stuff. I just need a name, because I can't find anyone! Please help me with a name? A name is all I need - I'll do the rest m'self. :) Thanks!
