Paid to be online?

People are saying you just run a program and then you get paid to be online there, unfortunately I use a MAC and most programs run on windows. I was wondering if there was a sight where you get paid to just stay there. 1 cent an hour is fine, I'm doing a lot of essays now on my computer, so it would really help. if you have any websites post below!
