Hello there! Well sometimes, I tend to read along with the music on. Yes with the music on, my concentration decrease a lot. But I do it sometimes when I am feeling really bored to study. But it is interesting to practice math with the music on. Mostly I like to do mathematics with the music on, it has not that bad effect as while studying in my case. On one way, it is the practice of multiprocessing of mind lol....

Hi, nzalheart! I may not be able to get away with the music playing on the radio, it will confuse me and mess with my concentration. But, when the T.V. is playing any of the Noggin songs. I can still read a little at least. I know that I can type fast.

I prefer to have the TV or Radio on when i am studying. I find it to actually help me and I'm dozing off thinking about other things and i don't get bored and stop reading and stuff like that. I know a lot of people like it quite and not noisy at all. I can't read when my parents are loud and talking that bugs me so i either have to go in my bedroom and turn the TV or Radio on to be able to concentrate at all.

No, I cannot. I need to be concentrated when I read otherwise, I would get distracted and misunderstand the meaning in the paragraph.

That's good marmaidivy. With music it always take the certain part of concentration on its side. I may read with the music, but it makes my study too slow. Thanks for your response...Happy mylotting...

Hello karankhanna!!! Well I agree with you whole heartedly. It's nice to do some easier tasks with music. But while we learn or read some important things, that is not the good idea. Personally I also feel nice using it for mathematics, but only if that is not the exam time. I never use the music in the exam time... Listening music really gives another dimension of interest while writing homeworks... Thanks for your response...happy mylotting...

Yeap! Absolutely. Actually, I can't study without my iPod. And the song has to be upbeat. Like alternative or rock. I can't seem to study with slow music. It makes me sleepy. But I can't study/read when there are a lot of noises, like people talking (quite irritating). I have to have my headphones! So that it will only be me, my book, and my music :)

Hello weirdo55!!! I also do the same thing like you. Whenever I get the irritating noise of people around while studying, I keep on my head phones or earphones, the make the volume so loud to forget about the outer environment. Sometimes rather than songs, I keep one some natural music pieces, this helps me keep my concentration on the study well... Its funny how you feel sleepy with the slow beat haha...I hope with the alternative and rock, you sure keep on banging your head while studying...I hope your mind don't get up and down with it haha...just a joke... Thanks for your response...and welcome the the mylot... Happy mylotting...

With your response, it seems as if you are totally habituated with the studying with music on. I can't really conentrate much with the music on while reading. I think I should also practice doing that when I am free from exams. Practice makes man perfect, then why can't I do it...Keep banging your head and enjoy... Thanks for responding back again...happy mylotting...

Hi! actually, I'm not really sure if it's the slow music is the one that makes me sleepy or just the studying haha.. But I like all kinds of music. Yeah, the upbeat music does make me bang my head a bit (at least I think it's just a bit haha). I guess this way it makes studying more fun and enjoyable. And because I'm enjoying it, I get to understand and remember what I'm studying more. So this is pretty helpful for me. Without my iPod, I'm doomed. I can't concentrate and I can't understand much of what I'm supposed to be studying. I guess my mind goes to places where it shouldn't be if I try to study without my music. :) Hope you continue to enjoy your studying and your music.. :)

Hey angel you have got the same habit as mine.....i also study with the music on but only when practicing maths....i like listening to the music when i am writing something rather than when i am reading.....it feels so nice...the music is playing on one side and on the other side you are writing...the music doesn't disturbs you totally but rather helps you to relax and makes environment good ..but this doesn't happen in case of reading because you are trying to concentrate fully and you don't want anything to disturb you....so keep that volume high when you are writing......

You are right devil23. Like you have already said, we have perfectly the same habit. I also use the music only in writing and even while doing mathematics. This adds up the interesting in what I am doing. But again Like you said, I also can't read on with the music on. It becomes worthless. Thanks for your response...Happy mylotting...

Hi!! I prefer reading or studying, after switching on a TV or a radio in a very low volume. It actually help me in motivating more to that particular subject matter on which I am dealing. As a kid,I used to switch on a radio and then I use to do mathematics. Without music,I found it hard to concentrate.Without it,I use to think about different kinds of things, that are happening around me..

Hello tyuakki!! That is the good idea. Rather than wandering the minds in various other fields, wandering in the music or the TV would be better. But don't get indulged in the music haha...Like you for me too, its difficult with other subjects. But with mathematics, I am more comfortable to do it with music. It adds the interest to our job and don't let us feel bored, isn't it... Thanks for your response... Happy mylotting...

Learn while listening to music? Of course depending on the situation / condition. Learn at home with the study group. Bad mood or being happy. Overall, the music can help the learning process.

That's good hsofyan. Learning with music can certainly be interesting but really depends on the condition. if we have exam the very next day, there is no point in studying with music isn't it? Thanks for your response...and sorry for the late comment...Happy mylotting...

In my case i mostly can't read with the music on. But i like to keep my music on. I get bored of reading and sometimes i read with music on. But what my mind think is I am reading but actually i keep enjoying music. Sometimes when my mood is on i just completely ignore the music when i am reading. Well my mind is like a celeron processor and is very slow and can't process more than one task. I wish i change my mind's processor to core quad.....lol
