Who is your favorite 80's group and why?

OK, I realize not everyone listens to or listened to some of the "hair bands" in the 80's but if you did or if you do who is your favorite group and why?
Personally I can't choose one group. I am a huge fan of Guns N Roses, Cinderella, Motley Crue, Poison, etc... and of all my favorite NIRVANA!!!
This is just the short list other wise we will be here all nite.
These are the groups I grew up to. I remember hanging out with my friends and this was the music we were listening to. I had friends who could actually play guitar and the drums and we would jam out to Metallica and Nirvana regularly.
Oh to be that young again!!! LOL

Since i like rap music,i'll take my pick from there.I pick the duo of Eric B and Rakim as my favorite 80's group.Why?Though i didnt listen to them until later on,I was impressed by their intelligence and innovation.I look out for artiste's lyrics and that group had it all.Rakim happen to be unarguably the greatest MC ever.

I don't even think of any other kind of music in the 80's except for the "hair bands" LOL Guess because that is absolutely ALL I listened to.
