When do you feel His presence most?

Earlier today I heard that a close friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer. As I thought of the people he will leave behind, I thought of our loving God and prayed for his family and that the months ahead would be as painless as possible. Seemed funny that I felt His presence even in the midst of grief and pain when I doe not seem to feel His being there in the celebratory times. How about you?

Actually I must confess I feel him more in bad times because he's the only thing I can cling on to during that time. In happy times I tend to let my guard down so I don't feel him as much as in bad times... But now I want to feel him the same amount regardless of what time is in my life.

Honestly, HE's there in good and bad times--especially in bad times. I meet with God regularly each morning and night. Well, through the day, we talk. Sometimes HE makes Himself felt, sometimes not. But there's a strange knowing deep in you that HE's there. However, HE's more powerfully felt in bad times, especially when it seems you're at the end of your rope. Most times HE does not solve problems outright. There's some kind of a trying period. It's actually to strengthen us. Challenges make us learn HIS ways and strengthen us to cling to HIM alone. I believe we need to be exposed a bit to hardships, what Christ says about carrying your cross daily. But HE sure has a plan for us to escape through all ordeals, if not now then soon! Oh yeah--HE's always there!
