Books or Movies?

It has become a trend nowadays that some books are filmed into movies. Which do you prefer--patiently read the book for hours or days or sit on a chair and watch it for just a couple of hours? Why?

Personally, i enjoy reading, and so i'd love a story interpreted in a book format...The number one reason is because when the stories are put in a novel format, most of the feelings and scenes are decribed with so much details and so much interesting vocabs that you could actually visualize yourself in the position where you were feeling those emotions..It's the amazing thing novels do to us, which is why i love novels and their detailed way of telling the story...If you'd like a more summarised way of telling the story, then you should watch the movie version...And the thing about watching movies that came from novels is that the people who have read the novels and then watch the movies would always have bad comments because the movie is really not that good like in the novels, they'd sometimes be called a bad interpretation. What these people don't get is that not all emotions can be expressed with actions on screen....not as clearly as words can.. haha ^_^

yes! I totally agree with you... well, not all people are good readers, well no offense... I mean not all people appreciate reading a book. I'm so thankful I do aprreciate reading and because of it somehow, I would like to be a novel writer someday, too.

Well, I would have preferred to read instead of watch. But sad to note, I have no time to read anymore considering my very busy schedule. So obviously I just watched. I have heard that most movies that were based on books were better understood if we read it considering that perhaps the movies are somehow affected by budget and thus some part of the story are not properly incorporated in the movie. Well, if I do have the time, I would say reading is better.

I think that greater convenience for the content of this book we have the visual impression. Enrich the connotation of thinking. So become a trend.

Hello kayebee. I prefer watching movies instead of reading the book because it doesn't have to take a long time to read the book before you get to the know the result of its content if we watch movies. Besides, it is more vivid and exciting to watch movies. That is the very reason that I choose to watch movies rather than read the books.

It's better to watch it then read it to give a clearer pic of whet it's all about. Like that of twilight, I watched it before I read it and it just made me fall in love more with the books. I've read it 3x now and still want to read all 4 again. LOL
