I will admit that I love watching cartoons and animations. I loved watching them as a kid (and back then watched mainly anime) but now I watch a lot of kids' movies. I won't make the post too long so I decided to choose my top 3. 1. Ratatouille 2. Cars (I have a boy, so I am biased) 3. Bolt

It's been a really long time since I've seen a new animated movie. CGI is okay for incorporating animation into a live action film (like Gollum/Smeagol) but mostly it makes me crazy. I'm a traditionalist. What was wrong with animated characters being 2-dimensional and outlined in a thin black line. I love watching old cartoons and seeing the irregularities that came from drawing the frames by hand. *shrug* Or the "clay-mation" movies that take 5-6 hours to film a 5 minute scene because each movement of the characters, each facial expression, has to be reposed by hand before moving on to the next frame. It took as long, or longer, to film A Nightmare Before Christmas as a cartoon as it would have taken with real people. In that vein, The Corpse Bride was probably the last "new" animated movie I saw, let alone enjoyed. I am so excited to see 9 that I can hardly contain myself. As for favorites... Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Disney's Robin Hood The Sword in the Stone The Secret of Nimh The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad the Bill Melendez/Children's Television Workshop version of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe And I have 4 DVDs (approximately 12 hours total) of Pink Panther cartoons and 2 shorter ones of Felix the Cat (probably 2-3 hours between the two).

I used to love watching Pink Panther and Felix the cat but now I am sort of 'obliged' to watch cartoons my son likes. I will try to introduce other types of animation as he grows older. As for 'clay mations' -- like you call them :) do you mean the likes of Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit (these are British) and Pingu?

Yeah, kind of like those... back in the 80's there were the California Raisins, which was a little silly but all done with clay figures too. I'm really not sure what NBX and the Corpse Bride are classified as. I just know they were done entirely in clay and had to be repositioned by hand frame by frame so they're pretty impressive, at least in my book.

I liked Shrek one a lot but the sequels were not that interesting for me. Actually I didn't even remember exactly what's in Shrek 3. Shrek 2 was not bad but the first one was best. What are the movies you like watching again and again? You made me curious!

I love watching cartoons so much ever since I am a kid. I am thirty years old but I still watch cartoons. These days I usually watch The Simpsons, Justice League, and Mickey Mouse. I used to watch Popeye the Sailor Man, Spiderman, Dennis the Menace, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Garfield and Friends (My favorite cartoon all-time as I like cats and animals, I even receive daily e-comics of it on my email), The Care Bears(I have a collection of Care Bear Stuffed Toys) and Alf (I missed this one). In 2007, I watch The Simpsons and Ratatouille movie in cinemas in the same day (one at a time)

How nice! The ones you mentioned are all wonderful movies!!!Can't wait to watch the second episode of Monsters Inc... Kung Fu Panda is fantastic. You are a kid at heart? That is wonderful and there is definitely nothing wrong with that. After all, these movies are created by adults :) Have you watched the Tale of Desperaux?

For me it's got to be Final Fantasy: Children of The Advent. I think it's the most action packed animated movies to date. Appleseed is ok too but Final Fantasy is all about seriousness and the nonstop action is a treat for everybody watching it. I've never seen anything like it yet. Kiddy animated movies are ok too but they just don't sppeal to me that much. The other Final Fantasy movie was a disappointment though.

That is a fantastic wish. Animated movies are very nice because they appeal to adults and to children. Those are what I prefer to call children of all ages. I wish you good luck in your future work!

Your top 3 animation movies are good. I like those movie too, but my favorite animation movie is Happy Feet. I like this movie much. I have to be honest that i cried when watchin it (when Mumble at the zoo). The animation is smooth and looks perfect. The characters are great and the most important point is the message. We have to protect our environment including its animals. Very nice movie for me.
