Where are the best ukay-ukays in the Philippines?

Have you been to Gil Puyat Street somewhere here in Makati? There are good vintage clothes and shoes and bags available where you can have many choices.

They are scattered everywhere now. A1 items can be found in Baguio but there are some instances that you may find it somewhere here in Manila. In Pasig, the owner texts me 1st if there is a new batch coming in. "priority" hehehe.. But its up to you. Some places in Aurora Cubao and some good finds in Marikina. You'll know that its a quality batch, if the Box to be opened is coming from the UK or Europe. What I'm looking for are Items from Japan or Korea. They have good designer clothes as well.

baguio is the capital of the ukay-ukay i think. lol. you'll be surprised that most thrift stores here in Cebu are branches of baguio. i hardly buy shoes in thrift shops not unless it's use for project making. but clothes and bags. lol there was even one time that i bought a PRADA jacket. it was one of my best jackets ever. black with a hoodie. =) very cool for a 180php

There's a number of good "ukay-ukay" stores in Guadalupe, Makati. But for me, nothing beats Baguio City. A lot of great finds there especially if you plan to go abroad and you need winter clothes. I shopped for mine before coming here in Dublin and was able to buy a nice Abercrombie original and new, fur coat (straight from HK accdg to the vendor) for P500. She was originally selling it for P1,200. She gave it to me after three "tawad". I was also able to buy a chic DKNY boots for only P250 and a pink Chuck Taylor for the same price also. Im sure you'll love it there. You should go and have a look sometime.

I don't know where. We have different locations and I am located here in Mindanao. As far as I am concern, here in Mindanao also has a lot of Ukay-Ukay. There many quality products but as always first come first serve. If you got it when the stocks first arrive you will surely get the best ones. I don't go to UK anymore because I don't have time. I always go before when I was still a student and I have buy a lot of items from them. Its worthy.

There are lots of ukay-ukay store also here but I think they are not in good quality that most of ukay-ukay have for their products.

well well well ... we are ont he same boat my friend. i love going to ukay ukays or buying vinatge clothes. because aside that its more cheaper you could also find so many nice clothes and still in good shape too. its still not that totally second hand look and its so comfortable to wear, as well. thanks friend jhelai

I think you should beware about the secondhand clothes.I fear they don't clean enough.I like to buy first hand colthes but they discount more.

Well when my mom went to Baguio she bought me this really brand new looking dress. So i guess Baguio is the place for you. I am addicted to UKs too. But well there are only a few good shops here in Bohol. But when you dig really hard, you can also get good quality second hands.

I like buying second hand stuff at ukay-ukay store. We have lots of good ones here in Davao but as most ukay-ukay lovers said is that you can find the best ukay-ukay store in Baquio. Personally i would like to try it myself buying there if given an opportunity in the future. Its very far here but maybe in the future if i visit there i will surely visit there ukay-ukay store. happy mylotting!

Products of UK are commonly found in Baguio City, there are many of them. I'm not really fond of Ukays but my wife was happy shopping in the mountain, LOL

Well, when I was yet in the Philippines, I am also a fan of ukay-ukay, they are good stuff compared to the brand new items you can find in tutuban? Ukya-2 is better. LOL. Since I am in that practice of buying ukay2, when I come to the US, I am still an ukay-ukay fan. There are lots of second hand items here. I have another Filipina friend who took me to the thrift store, where we can buy a pack of shirts in only $1.50 (P70.00) but it's half dozen of shirts.. 6 pcs. and shoes slightly used $2-3. Well, if we convert it is Philippine money that is expensive there but just barya only here. So, I can say, if you are here in US.. there are lots in Thrift stores and goodwill.. LOL..

This kind of store is very popular here in our country for the reason it sell good quality products with the very affordable price but the problem with this product is second hand or some of them are vintage which is the disadvantage, but even though those product is somekind of like that I know many celebrities here in our country really buy those kind of good and stuff because they know that they can make their own fashion in the second hand products and they can really save more money. A great number of people here in our country really buy in "UKAY-ukay", than the other store. If your luck is high and you really give effort finding good product, there will be a chance that you may get some branded products. Hehe... By the way, every second of the week I go always in UKAY-UKAY, to buy some stuffs. One good thing in goods and stuff in UKAY-UKAY, you can also use it to be give as a gift in one particular person and I am sure she/he will really like it because most of the things in UKAY-UKAY are branded where if you will it with brandnew it is very expensive. Here in our country because of the low economy they really go in UKAY-ukay to afford many stuff which is very low cost. I totally agree with the responders who are saying that Baguio has the best ukay-ukays in the Philippines. You will really find a lot of items that are worth your money. I've been there last month and found some shoes and clothes that can make you look fashionable for less money. Some people said that the ukay-ukays in Cubao have good finds as well, I still have to check it though.
