Would want to know what baby it is in advance?

Just curiosity. When they are going to have a baby, some people do scans so they can get ready for baby boy or girl. For me though, I like to keep the suspense. I never did a scan for my first child. At the back of head, I thought it was a boy but when it was born, it was a girl. I just loved the little suprise. Ofcourse I had to change a few things among the clothes, like add more pink, but it was fun! what about you, would you rather know what baby it is or would rather keep the suspense?

When I was pregnant with my first baby the hospital would not tell parents the gender. My first baby was a boy. Years later pregnant with my second baby I was able to go to a private clinic for a gender scan at 16 weeks. They said a boy and the hospital said the same at my 20 week scan. I did have a baby boy the second time. I am currently pregnant with my third baby. I have had scans at 12, 16, 20 and 22 weeks. From 16 weeks onwards they have said a girl so I am delighted. I very much like know the gender but some people like a surprise.

Interesting. I wonder though why hospitals dont tell what baby it would be. All the same, congratulations! I hope it goes well for you all the way.

When I was pregnant with my son I didn't want to know. I'm part of the school of though that there are very few surprises in life and that's the best one. I made a point to buy things that were fairly gender neutral before he was born. I didn't buy any dresses or suits. But I did buy sleepers or overalls that you could put with pink or blue or green or whatever you felt like matching up that day. We painted his room a light green colour.
