Why majority of people into "Blonde"?

My question is why so many people, I didn't mean all of us, just majority of public are so into "Blonde". People like to highlight their hair blonde, especially girls. Guys always into blonde - hair girls, not always, but many of them. I got to admit, blonde is very attractive nature color of people, and I like it too, but not too crazy about it. But why so many people into it? What is the psychology about it?
