Customer Service Reps

Hi myLotters! Nowadays, customer service rep is the most in demand job. There are individuals who graduated as an engineer, architect, nurse, business courses etc etc but ended up in CSR jobs. Being a customer service rep is not easy. You get to talk to Irate customers and must know how to handle them. Why do you think most graduates of today are getting jobs from call centers as CSR and the like and not pursuing their profession? State the reasons. And if for example you are a customer service rep, what are the things that you will do to become an effective CSR? How would you handle an Irate customer? Share your thoughts guys!
